The Cardinal Music Hall
The Cardinal Music Hall was created by Scott Little and Ben Earp, two friends who share a deep love of music and the way it brings people together. Both have spent years enjoying live music in their own lives and seeing how powerful it can be for artists, audiences, and communities.
The idea for The Cardinal Music Hall came from a shared desire to bring that same feeling to Damascus. Scott and Ben wanted to help create a place where live music could be experienced up close, where artists feel welcomed, and where people can gather around something they love.
At its core, The Cardinal Music Hall is about community. It is a space built to support musicians, give audiences memorable nights, and add something meaningful to the cultural life of Damascus. Every show is an opportunity to connect through music and to create moments that people carry with them long after the night is over.
Cardinal Music Hall is an independent, unaffiliated music venue leasing the listening room portion of the building from The Sanctuary, a program of Hands and Feet Ministry, who own the building and will be transitioning the remaining space into a residential program supporting mothers finishing treatment for substance misuse.
We are an alcohol and smoke-free venue.
The Cardinal Music Hall exists to celebrate live music and to share the joy it brings with everyone who walks through the door.
Meet Scott
Scott has loved music for as long as he can remember. He spent five years touring in a rock band, gaining firsthand experience with live performance and the energy that comes from playing music for an audience. For more than half his life, he has dreamed of opening a music venue, and The Cardinal Music Hall is the realization of that long-held goal. Scott is also the owner of the Green Cove Collective in downtown Damascus, which he runs alongside his wife, Alison Little.
Meet Ben
Ben is the owner of Ben Earp Photography and a lifelong music lover. A hobby musician, Ben has always been drawn to the way music brings people together. He helped co-found The Cardinal Music Hall as a way to bring intimate, live performances to Damascus and to create a welcoming space for both artists and audiences. Ben also helps lead a weekly jam band where anyone, from beginners to seasoned players, is encouraged to join in, building community and connection through music. The Cardinal Music Hall is another extension of that passion.
